Streetlight Energy Efficiency Improvement Project

Capital Projects Buildings is responsible for all capital improvements or major maintenance for 21 County Buildings. Information on major capital improvement projects that are available for bid can be found online -- Click here.

Capital Projects oversees improvements at the Civic Center; offices at #10 & #20 North San Pedro; Health Center at 920 Grand Ave, San Rafael; Mental Health at 250 Bon Air; four libraries, 6 fire houses, two fire lookouts, and many rented facilities. We are responsible for implementation of ADA requirements and supervision of County fuel storage.

• Civic Center Administration Building - Built in 1960 and the Hall of Justice built in 1963. Both buildings were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and contain approximately 470,000 S.F. of office space. This building is both a state and federal landmark.
• 10 North San Pedro - Approximately 25,000 S.F. and contains County Social Services, Suicide Prevention and Family Law.
• 20 North San Pedro - Approximately 25,000 S.F. and contains Health & Human Services, Public Guardian and Law Library.
