COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY

Records Management, Administration. Assist in organizing, compiling and preparing application files for conversion into a digital record. Use scanner/copier for preparing exhibits for imaging, record relevant file information in an Excel database, conduct quality control of digital files, and provide other administrative assistance related to the support of the agency's records management program. Ideal candidate has strong familiarity with Word. Excel is required as well as a sharp eye for detail and accuracy. Training will be provided for use of web-based application (WebXtender).

COURTS

Legal Aide, Legal Self Help Services. Are you an attorney, paralegal, and/or student interested in the law? Would you like to volunteer and experience assisting in the Marin County Superior Court? Opportunities are now available to provide support to Judges in the courtroom, to assist self-represented parties prepare court orders. Ideal volunteer will have some legal experience and computer skills. Opportunity suitable for attorneys, law students, paralegals or paralegal students. Monday - Friday 8:30am to noon. Ideal candidate will be available in 3 or 4 hr segments, 3 days per wk.

Receptionist/Intake Specialist, Legal Self Help Services. Greet and assist customers as they enter Legal Self Help Services, which provides assistance in understanding and navigating general procedures and providing tools and information for people to do self-research or complete documents for processing. No legal experience necessary. The receptionist/intake specialist will determine the type of case and the needs of the customer, and direct them accordingly. May also assist in responding to correspondence and request for forms, as well as with on-going and one-time projects. Basic office and computer skills, and ability to work effectively in a busy environment with diverse customers are necessary. Bi/multi-lingual a plus! Training will be provided. Minimum time commitment of one three-hour shift per week is preferred.

CULTURAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Docents, Marin Center Administration. Quality training, good speaking voice, lots of walking required. Frank Lloyd Wright enthusiasts are needed to lead docent tours on an on-call basis at the historic Marin County Civic Center. Expand and share your knowledge with a wide range of visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for volunteers with good speaking voices who enjoy teaching and leading groups on fascinating and educational hour - and - a - half walking tours of this national architectural treasure, Frank Lloyd Wright’s last project.  Outstanding training provided by expert veteran docents.

Maintenance/Assistant to Director of Maintenance, Marin Center Maintenance. Do you have “handyman” skills? Assist in facilities services with Marin Center Events, including facilities maintenance, electrical, plumbing, key-locking, painting and exhibits. Mechanical aptitude and interest required; three days/week.

Receptionist, Marin Center. Get a first-hand and up-close view of what goes on at the Marin Center. Receptionists needed to help put mailings together, answer phones and direct inquiries, and make copies. Other duties may include organizing a publicity book, assisting with fair entries, light computer work such as data input, and word processing. Perfect volunteer job for flexible person who enjoys promoting culture and the arts in Marin, in a friendly and low-pressure environment. The show must go on, and with your behind-the-scenes help, it will! Ideal hours would be 3-hour shifts, available now Monday morning, and Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES

Clerical Aide/Packet Assembler, Public Assistance Eligibility. Help clients in need to access public assistance resources by assembling packets of forms and information to be distributed to program applicants. The packets differ depending on program and the time when applications are being distributed (new application versus re-certification). It is of vital importance that the packets be assembled correctly, so efficiency and attention to detail are crucial. Self paced, flexible hours; training provided.

Clerical and Data Entry Support for Communicable Disease Team, Public Health. Do you enjoy providing administrative support in the Public Health arena? Volunteer will work in an office setting behind the scenes for the division of Public Health programs including: immunization, lead program, STDs, tuberculosis and other communicable diseases. Volunteers should be detail oriented, discreet and able to handle highly confidential and sensitive health history information, high level of maturity, basic computer skills and reliable, consistent, long-term commitment preferred. Best times for computer availability include: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. However, times are flexible. Two 2-3 hour shifts per week is preferred.  A minimum of 12 hours per month for 3 months.  Because of training involved, a 6 month commitment is preferred. Specific data entry training will be provided. County Compliance and HIPAA training required prior to starting work.

Client Advocate (IHSS), Aging and Adult Services. Work with staff at Aging and Adult Services main office: 10 North San Pedro/San Rafael. Work will also include home visits and some transportation of clients. Assist IHSS (In-Home-Support Service) clients by: Transporting clients to medical appointments, recreational or social activities, and to offices to apply for Medi-Cal benefits, etc. Assist with bill pay as needed, walk pets, fill out benefits applications, etc. Volunteers in this role should be compassionate, patient, and have a true desire to help others.  Volunteers will work under the direction of social workers and be required to maintain regular communication and formal check-ins and supervisions regarding the status and well-being of the clients. Documentation of visits may be required. Volunteer/intern will be provided training by social workers. Livescan/fingerprint (DOJ/FBI background) and reference checks required prior to starting. Valid CDL, car insurance and DMV print out must be maintained on file. Flexible schedule – 8-10 hours/week preferred. Because of training involved a minimum of a 6 month commitment is preferred.

Co- Facilitator at County Jail, Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, Detention Services. We are collecting names of people interested in working with detention health care staff to help incarcerated people with chronic illness learn the skills to cope with their disease. Co-facilitators will help present six-week sessions of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program at Marin County Jail. The content is in the form of a well-designed, interactive, scripted program developed at Stanford University. The program is educational, fun, and powerful. Are you suffering from chronic illness yourself? We encourage you to apply. The ideal volunteer has worked or volunteered in a jail setting or, if not, would be comfortable working with incarcerated individuals. Health care or teaching background is not necessary but is a plus. Candidates must submit to security clearance and background check. Training provided. Six-month commitment requested.  THIS PROGRAM HAS NOT STARTED AND IS STILL IN THE PLANNING STAGES. ANYONE WITH INTEREST SHOULD CALL TO INQUIRE ABOUT UPDATE OR TO BE PUT ON A LIST.

Connection Center Resource Desk Assistant, Bi-lingual, Health and Wellness Campus. This is a vital position that requires greeting, directing, and providing resource and referral information to visitors and clients at the Connection Center at the Health and Wellness Campus.  This program seeks bilingual (Spanish speaking) individuals to provide a warm and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable. This position requires providing information about the campus programs and community resources, escorting clients to other buildings if appropriate, and recording resource and referral information into a database program.  Shifts are available Monday – Friday during office hours (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.), and are especially needed during the lunch hour (12 noon – 1 p.m.) and Wednesday evenings until 8 p.m. Entry level position; work at a gentle pace.

Donation Coordinator (infant and toddler supplies), Social Services. This role is community-based and requires interfacing with an Oakland-based organization that collects and distributes clothing and other items for babies and toddlers. Much work can be done from home with informal check-ins with HHS staff at 899 Northgate (San Rafael). Volunteer will work with HHS staff to determine needs of clients, and then interface with a non-profit agency to obtain and distribute items. Some travel to the East Bay may be required. The ideal candidate will have “big picture” thinking skills and possess the ability to assist with a needs assessment of various HHS programs, as well as help create a system of distribution. This role requires a self-starter and someone willing and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to track information on a spreadsheet a plus. Volunteer/intern will be provided training by social workers. Livescan/fingerprint (DOJ/FBI background) and reference checks required prior to starting. Valid CDL, car insurance and DMV print out must be maintained on file in the event clients will need to be transported. Flexible schedule. Volunteer can set own hours and work directly with community partners. A minimum of a 3 month commitment is preferred.

Drivers, Chronic Care Management. Do you like to drive? Help someone who can’t! Drive a patient for same-day surgery and help settle them at home, or drive someone to a doctor’s appointment. Flexible hours, monthly team meeting and gasoline reimbursement. Group will meet every third Tuesday.

Facilitators, Chronic Care Self-Management Program, "Healthy Living," Department of Aging.  Help people suffering with chronic illness learn skills and tools to cope with their disease. The Division of Aging & Adult Services is seeking facilitators to lead six-week sessions of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. The content is in the form of a well-designed, interactive, scripted program developed at Stanford University. Are you suffering from chronic illness yourself? We encourage you to apply. Medical or teaching background not necessary, but a plus. The program is educational, fun, and powerful. Training provided.

File Clerk, Youth and Family Services, Community Health & Prevention, Health and Wellness Campus. Youth and Family Services seeks a volunteer to work behind-the-scenes in a program that provides out-patient mental health services including assessment, case management, family counseling, education, and child psychiatry for children, teens, and families.  Your efforts will support the entire family seeking individual or family assistance as you provide administrative support such as filing and photocopying. Shifts are available Monday – Friday 9am-1pm or 1-4pm; one or two 3-4 hour shifts per week are preferred

General Assistance Program Aide, Employment Services. Your help is needed to provide administrative support for the General Assistance Program, which gives first-time employment services to job-ready indigent residents who are not eligible for other types of public assistance. Duties include reminder calls, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, mail correspondence, preparing forms, filing case files, workshop registration, making copies, processing payments, and more. Flexible hours. Tuesdays mornings are preferred, one day per week, 3-4 hours total; 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. is ideal. Orientation and training will be provided.

Marin Medical Reserve Corp Candidates, MMRC. If you are interested in sharing your expertise, aptitude and elbow grease with our consortium of creative talent, then you are the person for us! If you have special interests in the following areas, we would love to talk to you: video production, photography, press communication event planning & management, promotional materials, public speaking, bookkeeping, grant writing, catering, and archives maintenance.

Patient Advocates, Department of Aging, Chronic Care Mgmt. Passion for helping those in need – easy going, warm & friendly; flexibility with time, desire to learn new things, drive a car. Training 15 hrs over 3 wks. Volunteer will assist participants to navigate hospital care. Community resources meetings, 3/mo, and need time in the month for group mtgs. Project Independence bridges the gap between the Program Participants’ discharge from the hospital and the return to their autonomy, independence, and quality of life at home. Patient Advocates work with a client in their home and support them to understand and follow discharge plans and medication orders, and coordinate and arrange for community services which may be helpful. Patient Advocates must complete 15 hours of training and participate in ongoing in-service training.

Public Assistance Interpreter, Employment and Economic Assistance. Can you translate documents and help others complete their paperwork? Here is the perfect opportunity for a volunteer who wants to hone their office, communication and computer skills and help their community. Help clients complete applications for assistance, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual reports, and redetermination papers. Back-up phones and clerical work if time available. Bilingual required.

Raising a Reader Program, WIC Program, Community Health & Prevention. Do you love to encourage and foster a love of reading for young children? The volunteer will engage in small groups with reading and encouraging imagination through story-telling. Volunteers help support program activities by assisting with clients’ children during classes and while waiting for appointments, thus supporting the whole family. Ratio of children to adults not to exceed 10:1. Children range in age from 18 months – 5 years in the mornings, with older children in the afternoons. Books and other materials provided. The ideal candidates will like to work with and/or have experience with children. Those interested in teaching or child development are especially encouraged to apply. Individuals in this position should be a minimum of 16 years old, patient, creative, and dependable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required. All volunteers will participate in orientation to the Campus and Connection Center, its programs and services. Specific training is required for this position on Protecting Personal Information (use and disclosure of PHI) and Compliance Training related to HIPAA prior to starting work. *LIVESCAN/fingerprinting and TB test are required for this position.

Receptionist, Aging and Adult Services. Are you friendly, warm, reliable, and discreet, with good customer service skills? Be the first stop for visitors to the newly renovated reception area of the home of Aging and Adult Services and help staff members answer the phone. Volunteers will be trained to triage walk-ins and phone calls so they may be appropriately referred to Information and Referral (I&R), In-Home Support Services, Adult Protective Services, or the Public Guardian. Fill out intake forms and enter data into the database. Must have the ability to make appropriate referrals to staff (training provided), to work side-by-side with staff members, and follow proper county procedures relating to forms. The ideal candidate will have both strong organizational skills and a passion for assisting older adults in our community. Prior office or phone experience a plus.  Shifts are 3.5 hours, 8:30am-12n and 1-4pm.  3 month commitment required, 10 hours a week minimum.

Senior Peer Counselors, Community Mental Health Services. Are you 55+ and looking to help Marin seniors through a variety of aging related issues? English or Spanish speaking Peer Counselors are needed to provide one-to-one weekly counseling to senior clients in their homes, helping them deal with aspects of aging while providing emotional support and practical resources to help comfort and empower them. Volunteer counselors bring with them an interest in their own personal growth and the compassion and understanding that older clients require. The program offers its eight-week training session starting March 8, 2011 in Novato for English speaking Peer Counselors, in basic counseling skills, issues of aging, and community resources. Training for Spanish speaking Peer Counselors TBA. On-going wkly team meetings Thursday afternoon at 10 No. San Pedro Rd., San Rafael.

Writer, Information Privacy and Security eNewsletter, General Admin. Seeking an enthusiastic “techie” who enjoys writing thought-provoking, informative, easy to read articles once a month to keep H&HS staff aware of potential information privacy and security threats and how to reduce those risks. Examples of topics include text messaging, identity theft, email, and internet usage. Volunteer will work closely with the County’s Privacy Officer. Strong writing, computer, and research skills are required to succeed in this team-oriented, deadline driven environment. Flexible hours, 8-10 hrs/wk with a six month commitment preferred. Orientation and training will be provided.

HUMAN RESOURCES

Administrative Aide, CCV. Be at the heart of Marin County’s vibrant and valuable volunteer program! This position requires organization and excellent writing and computer skills, including word, excel, and database and processing new applicants wishing to volunteer to assist with county operations. The ideal  candidate will possess organization, excellent computer skills including Outlook, word, excel, and database, writing skills a plus. Duties include responding to volunteer interest and applications, preferably at least two days/week, assisting with proofreading, filing, and various administrative support tasks. Flexible hours, minimum 6 hours/week, training will be provided.

Research & Outreach Aide, Volunteer & Employee Program, EEO. Utilize your outgoing personality, initiative, and creative thinking to support equal opportunity and increase the county’s recruitment outreach for minorities and women to obtain a higher number of applicants. Includes cold-calling, online research, and contacting local nonprofits and current Equal Employment Advisory Council, Human Rights Commission, and Marin Women's Commission members to ask for referrals. The volunteer may be invited to attend a few local meetings to meet contacts and network.  Required:  Ability to create an email list using Microsoft Excel or Word.  Hours: Minimum of a half-day per week on a flexible schedule working at the Civic Center or from home.  Training includes orientation and thorough discussion of goals of the division. Staff will provide current and potential additional contacts.

LAW LIBRARY

Language Consultant. Looking for a volunteer with excellent language and Internet research skills to help compile links where translated materials can be accessed. Volunteers should be bilingual in Spanish, Chinese or Vietnamese and have substantial computer skills, as they are necessary for this position. If a volunteer is interested in gaining some exposure to the legal environment, the Law Library can help with training it can provide in legal thinking and legal research.

Library Assistant. Volunteers are needed for select basic but crucial tasks at the Law Library. These include opening or closing the Library, turning computers on and off, stocking photocopy machines with paper, and similar tasks. Training is also available for other tasks. The ideal volunteer will have a background in library services, and some background in the law is also a plus.

Web Master. A web designer volunteer is needed in the Law Library for its newly launched website to develop a web-based community resource to improve access to a wide range of legal materials. The volunteer will work with the Director for further construction of the Law Library's newly launched site. Website design skills are needed for this position.

MARIN ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN

Advocates (CASA), Court Appointed Special Advocates. Every year more than half a million abused, neglected children need safe, permanent, nurturing homes. Too many spend years moving from one temporary home to another with no family to call their own. As trained advocates, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for these children in court. The result is that a child is placed into a safe, loving home where he/she can thrive. CASA volunteers are ordinary people committed to doing what is best for the child. Volunteers are trained in courtroom procedure, social services, juvenile justice system, and the special needs of abused, neglected children. A two-year commitment is required. Must be available various weekday afternoons and one Saturday morning to attend mandatory training (9 sessions); next training begins Feb. 2012.

MARIN COUNTY FREE LIBRARY (Note Branch)

Book Mender, Fairfax Library. Prior experience required to repair damaged books, attach loose pages and repair torn pages, 3 hrs/day, once or twice a week.

Child Literacy Teacher’s Aide, Marin Literacy Program. Share your love of learning as a support volunteer to the FLAGship (Families Learning and Growing) bus staff. The bus makes weekly visits to Marin area communities to reach families underserved by preschool services. Volunteers will meet the bus at a selected location, and assist staff directly with parents and children. Activities include school readiness, story times, art projects, singing, health information, and English literacy for adults and children. The ideal volunteer is comfortable with diverse groups and enjoys young children, children’s literature, and children’s music. Spanish fluency is a plus. Literacy training required. Make a difference for as little as two hours a week for six months. Bus hours: 8:30 to 2:30, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; see www.marinliteracy.org for schedule of sites.

Computer Tutor, Civic Center Library. Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to teach basic skills to novice computer users in using such tools as Microsoft Word and Excel, email, and in internet searching. Sessions may take place any time the library is open and both the tutor and tutee are available to meet.

Library Talent Scout, Marin County Free Library. Libraries are about more than just books and computers! Make a difference for library patrons by creating programs, recruiting others and coordinating with libraries to provide enrichment programs for library patrons and the surrounding community. Responsibilities include arranging workshops, coordinating with librarians and branch managers, and reporting progress to the Project Coordinator. Ability to network with friends, family, civic groups and faith communities is a must. Training and support provided. 6 mo. to 1 year commitment.

Readers, Corte Madera Library. Practice your reading skills and bring stories to life by joining the Listen In! Read-aloud team to serve residents of the Aegis Assisted Living Facility on Paradise Drive.  Ideal volunteers love a good story, are comfortable reading in public, and are expressive speakers. Some listeners are hearing impaired, so the ability to speak up and to read aloud articulately and with enthusiasm is a necessity.

Senior Access Reader, Novato Regional Library. Do you enjoy reading aloud? Touch lives and make a difference by reading to a group of frail elderly, some with Alzheimer’s, every Tuesday, 1:30 – 2:30 PM in Novato. The ideal volunteer loves a good story, is comfortable reading in public, and is an expressive speaker. Some listeners are hearing impaired, so the ability to speak up and read aloud articulately and with enthusiasm is a necessity. Current TB Test required – test is provided free of charge by the County.

Storyteller, Civic Center Library. Add joy and adventure to the lives of older adults by becoming a storyteller! The Civic Center Library is in need of volunteers to read to groups of seniors who are frail and/or diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Individuals should be comfortable working with ailing older adults, reading to groups of twenty or more, and leading brief discussions. Four to five volunteers needed.  Small time commitment -- once per week, approximately one hour, at Senior Access, 70 Skyview Terrace, San Rafael.  Storyteller will receive orientation from the staff of Senior Access, which co-sponsors the read-aloud program with the Civic Center Library. Volunteers pick what to read. Interactions will include such things as reviewing a memory kit – including photos, old ads, etc. Times are Tuesday a.m., Thursday p.m., and Friday a.m. Current TB test required; test is provided free of charge by the County.

Teen Client Assistant, Marin City Library. Do you enjoy working with teens? Do you have a talent for diffusing potentially volatile situations? Are you patient when interacting with young people? The Marin City Library staff is looking for a mature student intern to interact with teens afternoons and weekends when young people are using the library’s computers. Behavioral issues may include loud talking and some arguing. The ideal intern will engage teen patrons in a positive way, talk with them regularly, and help staff intervene in peer-to-peer disagreements.   Great opportunity for social science students interested in working with youth. Hours: 3-hour and 4-hour shifts available. Staff will provide orientation, back-up, and ongoing supervision.

Tutors, Marin Literacy Program, San Rafael Library. Help open a door on the world! The Marin Literacy Program is looking for sensitive tutors for eager adults 1.5-2 hours per week over a six-month period. You'll work one-on-one or in small groups. Orientation to the program is offered monthly from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at the San Rafael Public Library, 1100 E St. San Rafael. Volunteers receive 16 hours of training offered quarterly on two consecutive Saturdays (9:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m.).

PARKS AND OPEN SPACE

Civic Center Landscape Steward, Park Facilities. Do you marvel at the lush landscaping inside and around Marin County’s historic Civic Center? Become a Civic Center Landscape Steward and help keep the landscaped areas looking beautiful. Orientation regarding the importance of landscaping and of hand weeding as it relates to Integrated Pest Management will be provided by the Chief of Landscape. Self-paced work in a relaxed environment with flexible hours.

Gatehouse Attendant, Parks and Landscape Services. If you enjoy the outdoors and you are personable and outgoing and enjoy greeting visitors to McNear's Beach Park, Stafford Lake Park or Paradise Beach Park, this opportunity is right for you. Our volunteer will collect fees, answer the phone, direct park patrons, and interact with the public and staff. Minimum of 2 hours per day, up to a full day of 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.  The volunteer will need to be interviewed by Park Staff and then go through a background check with the Marin Co. Sheriff's Department. Interested volunteers can work at one of the three parks exclusively, or all three. Parks knowledge very helpful. Volunteers will be bonded by the County.

Irrigation Specialist, Park Facilities. Do you enjoy working with irrigation systems? If so, this could be the job for you. The volunteer will check drip and sprinkler head irrigation to address coverage issues. In addition, the volunteer will adjust heads, drip line valves as needed to address problem areas on turf in landscaped areas. The ideal candidate will have irrigation system operation skills and landscaping skills. Orientation and training of park irrigation systems and controllers will be provided. At times, the volunteer will work alongside staff.

McInnis Skate Park Steward, Park Facilities. Do you enjoy watching the jumps and maneuvers that skate boarders perform these days? Have some time in the mornings or evenings? Volunteers needed to tend to the skate park and tennis courts at McInnis Park, checking for safety hazards, and making sure the facilities are clean and working properly. Other duties may include sweeping the paths, weeding landscaped areas, and picking up litter. The ideal volunteer is friendly with park visitors, and may need to remind skate park users to wear helmets. Will be responsible for reporting any issues to the Ranger staff. Volunteers needed mornings, 7-9 AM, and evenings, 6-8 PM. Training and orientation will be provided, including basic MERA radio training.

PROBATION DEPARTMENT

Administrative Assistant, Adult Offender Work Program (AOWP), Juvenile Hall, Probation. Come help the program that assists people back into the workforce. If you enjoy data entry and varied office work in Juvenile Hall, this is the job for you. The volunteer will answer phones, sort mail, fax, and file. The ideal candidate has some computer experience, some office experience and has organizational skills. On-site training is available.

Office Assistant, Adult Supervision Unit, Probation. Are you looking for an opportunity for a self paced behind the scenes work experience? The Probation Dept is looking for an organized, self starter with an attention to detail that might enjoy the review of documents that need to be identified and purged. Training will be provided to give you the comfort level and knowledge to look through files and decide which ones should be destroyed. This project entails moving several files at a time to a desk for review and then back to the file room. The volunteer will head up reorganizing the file room as this task is completed. Potential volunteers will require a basic background check.

Tutors, Bilingual, Juvenile Hall School. Reach out to our youth! The Juvenile Hall School is looking for bilingual tutors to help Spanish-speaking students learn to read and write in English. You'll work in a self-paced, team-oriented environment - anywhere from 1 to 4 hours per day, 2-5 days per week. Training as liaison between staff and Spanish-speaking patients will be provided.  Office setting is fast-paced and volunteers should be comfortable in a busy environment.  Office experience is not necessary.

Tutor, Juvenile Hall, Probation. Reach out to our youth! Volunteer works with students who need attention and who will benefit from someone helping them stay on task. Volunteer to assist them one-on-one in learning Math & English Training will include security, rules & policies of Juv. Hall.  Self-paced, team-oriented, hectic environment.  From 2-5 days/wk; 1-4 hrs/day; ideal afternoons. Volunteer needs ability to work in Juv. Hall.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Employment Coach, Jail Operations, Sheriff. Are you friendly, warm, reliable and enjoy helping people find suitable employment? The volunteer will assist individuals who are about to be released from jail take the next positive step toward employment. Develop a simple class to work with prisoners in the Marin County Jail to build basic job seeking skills including (1) Dress for Success, (2) Resume Development, (3) How to Apply to a Job, and (4) An Effective Job Interview.  The class could include films on job interviews and so on. The ideal volunteer is a self-starter who is comfortable with the jail population and has an interest in teaching/coaching basic job seeking skills. A deputy is present at all times and the environment is very supportive of the volunteer. Great opportunity to help others and be creative. Lots of flexibility. A background check is required.
