Ordinances Recently Codified

From time to time, the Marin County Board of Supervisors adopts ordinances. Ordinances are laws governing certain matters within the County’s jurisdiction. Once adopted, the ordinances are periodically codified, organizing the County laws into the official County Code. (Ordinances designated as "Special", "Repealed", or "Not Codified" in the County Code disposition list do not appear in the Code.

The Marin County Code is available on-line. The on-line version of the County Code is updated quarterly (February, May, August and November).

Additionally, copies of the printed County Code is available for review in the County Library, the Clerk of the Board Office and several County Departments. Copies of the Marin County Code are available for purchase from the Municipal Code Corporation, Marin County’s Code publisher. (Note: The printed Code is updated annually, in November. Therefore, please refer to the on-line Code for the most current version or contact Municipal Code to order printed copies of the quarterly supplements.)
